Personalized Plates

Personalized Plates for all Occasions......

I just thought I give you an insight of how Personalized Plates with a digital prints are created.....

Personally I specialize in Ceramic.. I love it with a passion. I have my own molds which a mixture of clay (suitable to create ceramics) is poured into molds and then a special process starts. Depending what you have in mind with the project you can end up with a different looking work of art.

How gorgeous is this  wouldn't you like to have this as
your coffee/tea cup
if you are his mum or grandma.............

When you see a plate with a design on it...it can be actually be painted with a brush...or else a digital print is created on a computer program which is a work of art in it's own way and a special transfer or Decal as known in ceramics is created which is printed through special printers and then water slide on to the ceramic piece and fired in a KILN at high temperatures and Viola!!!!  turns into a design on the ceramic piece. This would be dishwasher safe and elements safe, it will not fade away.

These days with digital technology...we are lucky that we can create special moments in our life by creating a special memento with the image that one wants for a keepsake on a Plate, Mug, Bauble etc.....There is quite a few ways of doing this, the traditional Kiln Firing, Simulation Printing etc. etc....

One has to be very careful not to be fooled that they are dishwasher safe and that print will not fade...There is a lot of outlets and on line ...these days that will do this for you within the day or so...even in shopping centers, but you will find that print will eventually fade  away...I would like you to share this if it is has happened to you?

I do it the old fashioned way ...all my pieces are KILN FIRED in High temperatures...that dishwasher, oven and elements will not affect them....

The Mug above is one of my new creations being introduced later on this month....have your thinking caps going........VALENTINE'S DAY, MOTHER'S DAY, SPECIAL OCCASION.......hmmmmm has that started you thinking?
